About

This blog is intended to be a travel journal to keeping track of my journey from Europe to Asia, and to share with friends and family my experiences on my way home. Starting off from New York to Amsterdam October 5th, the trip was originally an invitation by a friend for his vacation, and intended to be a break for myself before returning to Hong Kong since graduating from Cornell and living in the United States for 6 years . While packing for the trip, I decided this would be the best opportunity to fulfill my dream to follow the inspiration of one of my most respected role model, Jim Roger, a well known investors in the finance industry who wrote the book “Adventure Capitalist”, which documented his millennium adventure driving across four continents to see the world from the ground up. Since reading “Adventure Capitalist”, it has become a dream of mine to experience world the way he did. I still have no idea how far I can reach but I’ll be as ambitious as I can and keep it to a reasonable budget and my dead line to the end of 2007, when I should end my journey and return to Hong Kong to celebrate Christmas and New Year with my family and friends.   My next stop Paris (a week) followed by London (5 days).  The rest of the trip should consist of Madrid, Morocco, Barcelona, Naples/Ischai/Sorrento, Athens, Istanbul, Cairo, Israel,  Dubai, Karachi, Mumbai, New Delhi and Arga.  As holder of the Hong Kong SAR passport, I’ll need to obtain a visa for India.
