Quote of the day
“If I summon up those memories that have left with me an enduring savor, if I draw up the balance sheet of the hours in my life that have truly counted, surely I find only those that no wealth could have procured me.” –Wind, Sand & Stars
3rd Day @ Paris
This morning woke up a bit late at 1:00pm, working on app essays until 4am after coming back from some night excursions at the Etienne Marcel, the night district teemed with sex shops, punks, shady people. Visit to Centre Pomoidou’s 2 modern art galleries witnessed Victor Erice and Abbas Kiarostami’s impressive photography work as film makers as well as modern art work, a selected few in the area of interior architecture, product design, color-diagram canvas, hanging installations were more interesting than others; pictures are taken so take a look! The view on the top of Pomoidou was remarkable, a view of a endless cascades of French building roof tops lined the horizon graced by the Eiffel tower from far. I took a lot of pictures. Theres a outdoor restaurant/cafe at the top floor was so forbiddingly expensive but the view was stunning. The metro strike made for the opportunity to walk a great deal from Chatelet, to Rambuteau Pompidou, to Strasbourg Saint-Denis, and finally to Etienne Marcel.
Should get lunch and today will visit the famed Le Cordon Bleu, finally…..
